About this game
Draw the bow and aim for the bullseye
What this game is
Draw the bow down, let go, and the arrow flies. Ten arrows to a round, and the rings score ten at the gold centre, then eight, six, four and two as you move outward.
The catch is that the target will not hold still. It rides up and down while the arrow takes its own time to arrive, so the gold goes to whoever aims at where the target will be, not where it looks right now.
How to play
- Draw and release
- Press below the bow and pull to set both the angle and the power, and the arrow leaves the moment you let go. A tap that barely moves counts as a cancel and costs you no arrow.
- The dotted line does the math
- While you hold the draw, the flight path is sketched as a dotted line with a marker where it will meet the target face. Pull harder for a flat, fast shot, or gently for a high arc.
- Lead the target
- The arrow spends about seven tenths of a second in the air, and the target keeps moving through all of it. If it is on its way up, aim a little above where you see it.
- Ten arrows, one total
- Once all ten are gone the total comes up, and your best stays in this browser. Share it and the link carries that score as a challenge.
Frequently asked questions
- How many arrows do I get?
- Ten per round. When they are gone you get the total and can start again on the spot.
- How is the score decided?
- By where the arrow crosses the target face. The gold centre is ten, the rings outward are eight, six, four and two, and anything off the target is zero.
- I tapped by accident, did I lose an arrow?
- A tap that hardly moves is treated as a cancel, so no arrow is spent. Only a real draw looses one.
- Can I aim properly on a phone?
- Touch and mouse work the same way, so dragging aims it on a phone, a tablet or a desktop. There is no app to install and no fee, just one Google sign-in.
