About this game
Cut the rope to feed candy to Om Nom, a physics-puzzle classic
What this game is
Swipe across a rope to cut it, the candy swings loose and drops, and the level ends when it reaches Om Nom. Which rope you cut, and when, changes the whole path the candy takes.
This one is not ours, though. It is an open-source HTML5 port, pinned to a single upstream version and served untouched, so the text inside the game stays in English and the score sharing the other games have does not appear here. What you get instead is a physics puzzle that starts the moment the browser opens, with no app to download.
How to play
- Cut by dragging across
- Drag your finger straight across a rope and it snaps where you crossed it. A mouse drag does the same thing.
- The order is the puzzle
- When several ropes hold the candy, which one goes first decides everything. Cutting on the swing left lands it somewhere else entirely than cutting on the swing right.
- The candy has to reach Om Nom
- Dropping the candy is not the goal, getting it to Om Nom is. Let it fall past him and you run the level again.
- Not built here
- It is an open-source HTML5 port, pinned to one upstream version and served untouched. That is why the in-game text is English, and why the score sharing and challenge links the other games have do not show up here.
Frequently asked questions
- Did you make this one?
- No. It is an open-source HTML5 port, pinned to a single upstream version and served exactly as it is.
- Why is the in-game text in English?
- Because the upstream build is used untouched. The only control is dragging across a rope, so you can play without reading anything.
- Does it cost anything?
- It is free. One Google sign-in and it opens right away.
- Does it work on a phone?
- It opens as it is in a phone, tablet or desktop browser. There is no app to download.
